In honor of Earth Day, I direct you to Umbra’s handy and simple guide on what you can do to be kinder to the earth. To celebrate, I ate my lunch of local eggs and toast outside in the sun. And tonight, I’ll go hear Gary Nabhan talk about “The Geography of Food Endangerment.”

Consuming in moderation. For instance: I bought a cute purse at SAM”S CUB for the summer. Did that make me happy? Yes. Do I need more consumption and more and more to be happy? No. Or did I miss the whole point and start spouting off about my purse from Sam’s Club???
“Reduce” is the first and most important step. Of course, in my book having a bunch of purses is a bother, anyway.
