Cookbooks sale (and me) at KC library

November 29th, 2007 · No Comments · General

If you live in the KC area and are near the Plaza on Saturday (Dec. 1), stop by the Kansas City Public Library’s Plaza branch at 4801 Main Street (telephone 816-701-3481) for the friends organization’s first fund-raising cookbook sale. The sale runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a reception at 1:30 precedes my talk at 2 p.m.

Recipes Worth Sharing coverI’m very excited because (a) I love libraries and (b) I donated the remainders from my cookbook, Recipes Worth Sharing, which they will be giving away as a bonus to anyone who buys the used books on sale. It’s a fine cookbook, but I’m done with promoting it, and so I’m delighted to have found a good way to get the extras to people who presumably will enjoy them.

As recommended by the library people, I’ll be talking about “Recipes Worth Sharing for the Holidays.” If it’s well-received, I may post some of the text here next week along with the recipes I mention.

That reminds me. I didn’t get an answer when I asked before, so I’m asking again: Does anybody have a preference as to whether recipes I post appear in the text of the post versus as a linked word-processing document, which makes for easier printing? It’s not a big deal for me either way; just wanting to make things easier for you.
