Scientists at the University of Michigan have determined that organic methods can yield more food than what’s “conventional” today. That’s exciting news for the environment and for developing countries that are getting prodded into using the chemical-intensive farming that’s worked in the United States (never mind things like the dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico due to ag chemicals runoff.)
Just thought I’d mention it while you’re encouraging lawmakers to back organics in the farm bill. :)
