I’ve been pleased at how many readers foodperson.com has received since going online two weeks ago. I’ve made assorted changes and learned a lot, including how much I don’t know about WordPress (the software behind the blog) and how to make the site function the way I’d like. But, it is functioning, so that’s a start.
I’ve also learned that many readers and potential readers know even less about blogs than I do. I’ve created a very brief page of FAQs (that’s frequently asked questions) page, which you can access by clicking here or on the the FAQ link at right, which may help a little.
Among the things that aren’t working the way I’d like is the comments setup. One of these days I’ll figure out how to make the comment-making process clearer on this page. Until I figure it out, though, I have a request for you: See where it says Comments (0) ? Please click there, which will give you a form for leaving your comments, which I would love to have. The whole idea of many blogs, including this one, is to provide a place where we-you, I and other readers-can exchange thoughts. Your email address won’t appear on the foodperson.com page; the space for it allows me to verify who you are and help avoid spam in comments.
As frustrating as some aspects of getting going have been, I’m still amazed at how much fun I’m having with foodperson.com. I hope you’ll keep checking back (read the FAQ about RSS!) and watch as foodperson.com develops. Le me know what you think! Thanks, Janet
