Greetings! Make yourself at home. Care for a bite to eat?
Me, too.
Eating good food is one of my favorite pastimes. I love the smells, the tastes, the textures. I love the conversations that develop while eating, and I love to share the things I’ve cooked with friends and family. I feel sorry for people for whom food is merely fuel; they’re missing out on a wonderfully sensory and social experience.
Meanwhile, my years of writing about and talking with people about food have confirmed that food is about more than either fuel or senses. It’s also about who we are. Our ethnic heritage, our religion, our geography, and our politics all play roles in what we eat and what foods we love. I hope you’ll find something here worth chewing on.

Hi Janet!
Welcome to the blogosphere! I’ll be visiting you often!
Thanks for the link to the article…we didn’t get a chance to visit NY Noodletown while in NYC - I was, frankly, surprised by how much we didn’t get to do. My mind, however, is still overwhelmed by all we saw and ate. That’s the best kind of trip.

Thanks, Sara. It’s an exercise in learning, but it’s a fun one so far. Obviously, you’re just going to have to go back to New York and resume eating sometime in the near future. Thanks for the comment!
