		<description>Other Lodi applesauce notes. ..I make my sauce (any kind of apple) with brown sugar to taste, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and even sometimes cloves.  I cook with the skin on and don&#039;t use a food mill--I like chunks (although Lodi doesn&#039;t make for chunks) and skin is good for you, as you mentioned!  I freeze and can it and can still taste the spices...the best part about applesauce I put up is that it goes right onto the table without much forethought!  Also, for  a neat trick, I just made sorbet out of some of the applesauce with my donvier ice cream maker.  To get a creamy texture, I added 1/4 to a 1/3 cup of Southern Comfort to the quart of apple sauce sorbet I made.  It was fabulous last night for dessert.    Enjoy your apples! :)  I love them!</description>
